Irish Red & White Setters make excellent family members.  They are intelligent and bond closely with their people. While exuberant, they readily learn to be gentle with children and others with whom a little restraint is appropriate.  They tend to be unstinting with their offers of help - if you are building something, they are always on hand to lend a paw.  Whatever you are doing, you will never have to do it alone with a Red & White in your life.
