Trooper X Zhivago
I am so excited about the potential of this pairing. I've trained with Zhivago in the field this past year and she has impressed me with her steady temperament and intelligence. She has sufficient drive to play the field game, but she is also a biddable, willing worker who really wants to get it right. I am not easily impressed, but she has certainly done it.

This is one of my favorite pictures of Zhi. It was taken at a soggy, frigid Hunt Test in April. The soggy, frozen birds were not flying and she got a bird. Instead of running off to enjoy her prize (if you've ever run a young dog, you know what I mean) she continued to hunt and point three more birds with the bird in her mouth. She was very, very pleased with herself, as is evident in the picture.
