Ring-neck pheasant hunting at Creek Side
takes you back to old traditions. This type
of hunting experience will challenge even
the best of shooters as explosive, cackling
birds fly hard and fast over each of the
gunners. You'll find that the majestic
scenery offered by the Creek Side 380 +
acres of natural Pennsylvania grasses,
sorghum and good old weeds, surrounded by
high timber, while accompanied by a majestic
creek and ditch banks making this the
perfect sanctuary for your hunting
thrills.
This truly is the hunt you've been waiting
for! Whether you are a
seasoned hunter with scores of stories and
memories or a young novice hunter new to the
experience of harvesting ring-neck
pheasants, you will love this hunt! Remember
to carry a lot of ammo with you because
these "kings of the game birds" will be
flying fast and hard and providing you with
plenty of chances to unload your gun which
we had found making my Gordon "Cisco" work
harder and longer. Occasionally giving us a
glance of shame as he went on hunting up
again. This shooting adventure is something
that cannot be described, it must be
experienced!
This hunt
started out from a call from Pittsburgh
where a Gentlemen was reviewing the website
and read of the last hunt. He was
interested in getting back into small game
and bird hunting. We talk on the phone
and came to the decision that the only way
he could come to love what I was talking
about and what he missed as a kid was to
come visit. I gave Keith a call
at Creek Side and setup the hunt for a
afternoon . When we arrived at our
location you start up the driveway to the
lodge though a tranquil settings of woods
and fields. The setting starts your
heart a pumping and finger itching as my
guests were more excited than Cisco.
We arrived at the Lodge and were greeted by
other hunters for that day as Keith (the
owner) was out setting the fields.
After he was done and returned he greeted
all of us as if he knew us all before, and
in my eyes this is important makes you feel
as if you were hunting with family. He
sent the groups out and showed us to our
destination for the day. I could go on
and on about Keith and his preserve but it
is one of the finest in the area.
